Potent and regular yogic practices & philosophical studies are the platform from which we teach. Your commitment to this deep dive into yourself and sacred yogic study will give you the tools to live a conscious and enlightened life.
In this program, you will begin practice teaching within the first few days. Our teachers will guide you and you will receive valuable feedback that will help you continue to grow as a student and practitioner. We believe that diving in right away will give you the tools to be able to begin teaching as soon as you graduate. You will also be required to observe a total of 5 classes on your own time. This curriculum will culminate with an optional teacher audition should you want to teach at Bijou 5 Yoga.
The full program must be completed in order to receive your 200 hr Yoga Teacher Certification. We realize everyone has commitments and emergencies that can come up so we incorporated 2 make up sessions, another unique aspect of this Yoga Teacher Certification Program.

This program is a registered 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training by Yoga Alliance. This school provides a 200-Hour training that meets or exceeds the Yoga Alliance Standards. Students who complete this program are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as a RYT-200Hr.
From a very young age, Victoria was coined the chubby girl. She tried every diet and counted calories since the age of 14. Then in her 20s, she reclaimed her body back and lost 45 pounds by spending hours in the gym and maintaining a rigorous diet. While it worked, it was working hard and not working smart. Her body and self-image continued to keep her from true happiness and a sense of contentment she knew was possible but eluded her.
In her early 30s, after giving birth to two healthy kids only 18 months apart Victoria had gained 70 pounds and spending hours at the gym was no longer an option. This is when she came back to a practice she had started many years ago, Yoga and looked for a healthier way to maintain a good balance and become the woman and mother she knew she could be. At this time her soul-searching lead her to take the 200HR YTT from the World Renowned Yoga Center, Laughing Lotus NYC, directed by Dana Trixie Flynn, this is when Victoria was also introduced to Ayurveda the sister science of yoga. “As I was looking for a way to balance my physical body, I realized the work was also in my mind and my spirit. Yoga & Ayurveda helped to unite these aspects of myself and I came to recognize I was always whole and had just forgotten, Yoga helped me remember.”
Her final path to health felt like a giant jigsaw puzzle with lots of missing pieces. As the pieces revealed themselves - nutrition, physical strength, mental flexibility, emotional wellness and spirituality, all pillars of Yoga and Ayurveda, - Victoria began to lose the heaviness in both her physical and emotional body, in an almost effortless manner that she had never experienced before. Today, Victoria’s life's mission and passion is to share these ancient practices and sciences with her students and to empower them to gain optimal health and well being.
